Your pathway to a career as a massage therapist in Fiji

The Problem

The Talent–Industry Gap

Fiji's wellness tourism sector is growing fast. New hotels and spas open every year, visitors arrive daily, and treatment protocols shift with each new wellness trend. That growth has created a shortage of specialised talent. Hotels cannot train massage therapists fast enough, and training has not kept pace with what the industry now asks for.

Our Mission

The Vanua Academy Bridge

Vanua Academy bridges that gap. We teach the hands-on skills the industry actually needs, from massage techniques to current spa practice. You will also learn to care for your own wellbeing, and take that knowledge home to your community.

Your Journey to Becoming a Massage Therapist

Here is what your journey as a student on our Massage Therapy III course looks like, from your first day in class to your first client.

  1. Call to Adventure

    Learn the craft

Begin with the theory of how the body works. If you are heading into the spa and tourism industry, you will also cover anatomy, massage protocols, and the sales and product knowledge that spa work calls for.

  2. The Grand Trial

    Practise what we teach

Put your training to work with real clients. Learn how to talk with guests, plan treatments, run the reception desk, and carry yourself professionally in a working spa.

  3. Return to the Ordinary World

    Graduation and beyond

Graduate ready to begin work, and stay connected with us afterwards. You will keep access to our library of skills and practical industry guidance, and to a team of experienced professionals who are glad to support you as your career develops.
